İbrahim Kapusuz: Mr. Ömer, despite being a young company, Özar Mold Components stands out with its technical infrastructure and production diversity. Could you share with us your founding story and how you entered the industry?

Ömer Özüdoğru: Certainly. We established Özar Mold Components in 2013. Though we may appear as a young company, we were backed by 40 years of industry experience, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Our founding goal was to become a manufacturer that ensures quality, precision, and durability in centering components used in plastic injection, metal injection, and sheet metal molds. With this vision, we set out and have now evolved into a company that not only serves the domestic market but also makes significant contributions to the global market.

İbrahim Kapusuz: The mold industry requires deep technical expertise. What are the key differences that set you apart from other manufacturers?

Ömer Özüdoğru: Our biggest advantage is our meticulous technical approach to every component in production. With our modern machinery, we produce high-precision centering elements. Additionally, we locally manufacture “Ejector Plate Centering Bushings,” also known as “Linear Bushings”—a product many in the industry have yet to produce. These parts demand extremely tight tolerances, high surface quality, and hardness control. Our know-how in this field makes us a pioneer in Turkey and competitive globally.

İbrahim Kapusuz: Could you share details about your export activities? In which markets are you active, and what strategy have you followed?

Ömer Özüdoğru: For us, exports are not just a sales channel but also a way to test our product quality in the international arena. Currently, we work with countries known for high technical standards, such as Germany, Italy, Poland, the Czech Republic, Egypt, and India. Gaining acceptance in these markets proves that our products meet global standards. Our strategy is clear: First, understand the technical expectations of each market, then develop a tailored production and delivery plan. We also manage all foreign trade operations end-to-end, including logistics support.

İbrahim Kapusuz: What do you prioritize in your production processes? How do you ensure sustainable quality?

Ömer Özüdoğru: Quality for us is not just about inspection—it’s a process built into production from the start. That’s why we operate under the principle, “Quality is produced, not inspected.” We document every step, from raw materials to production planning, measurement equipment to shipment. Through continuous employee training, transparent supplier relationships, and ERP-based production tracking, we strive for zero defects. We never ship non-compliant products.

İbrahim Kapusuz: Could you share your future goals and investment plans?

Ömer Özüdoğru: In the short term, we aim to expand our R&D capacity to develop more specialized products. We’re particularly focused on materials resistant to high heat and friction. Additionally, we plan to establish overseas representatives and service networks. By the end of 2025, we aim to increase our export share to 60%. In the long term, we want to increase our presence at European technical fairs, positioning Özar as a global “technical supply brand.”

İbrahim Kapusuz: Finally, do you have a message for local manufacturers or new investors in the mold industry?

Ömer Özüdoğru: Yes. The mold industry is a field that demands high technical discipline but also offers significant opportunities. If your goal is not just competing on price but differentiating through quality, long-term success is achievable. Local manufacturers, in particular, must have confidence and expand into international markets. Because today, the concept of “local production with global quality” resonates strongly worldwide—and we are a living example of this.

İbrahim Kapusuz: Thank you for these valuable insights and candid sharing. I wish you continued success.

Ömer Özüdoğru: Thank you. I also extend my gratitude to Turk Alliance for its contributions to the industry.
